Pastor Rick & Sherri Smith
Pastor Rick and his wife Sherri are originally from Eden, NC. They both accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior when they were children and were baptized at the First Baptist Church of Draper in Eden.
Years later, the Lord brought them together again and they were married in the First Baptist Church of Eden.
Rick and Sherri have 2 grown children. Tori and her husband Michael, live in Newport, NC. Their son Jacob lives in Nashville, TN.
Rick served in various churches as Minister of Music for years before answering God’s call to the Ordained Ministry. Ordained in 2017, he has since planted a church and served in another Southern Baptist Church as Interim Pastor.
Sherri is a Mortgage Loan Officer. She also brings many years of experience teaching children in Sunday School, as well as delivering Children’s Sermons.
The entire family is musical and one of their favorite things to do when they are together is to play bluegrass music. Rick also enjoys movies, camping, fishing, attempting to play golf, and a good pun. BEWARE.
